    NEW SINGLE

    LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE

    OUT APRIL 30TH

Sparse instrumentation allows for the thumping baseline to pop amongst the simple percussive elements providing Chersea’s voice a launching pad for soulful vocal fireworks and impressive harmonic arrangements fit for any scorned lover.

“Let’s Talk!” is an anthem for the defeated: the ghosted, the blocked, the gaslighted, the punching bag, the jilted lover, and the scorned. It’s our turn to take the power back and this is YOUR song. Written from a place of pure resentment and anger it is arguably Chersea’s most passionate piece yet and explores the honesty and frustration that follows an awful, answerless break-up. This anthem is intended for you to resolve your feelings and leave them behind. This song is a reminder they weren’t worth your time. These are words written for you and I, so play it loud with peace of mind.

"Let's Talk About Love" is the first single from Chersea's upcoming album, 'Divine Comedy' scheduled for release on June 25th, 2021.

    ABOUT

    CHERSEA_LOGO_WHITE.png
    Chersea-6716-edit.jpg

Divine Comedy has certainly been a humbling revelation for Chersea. From the cold introspective beginnings that characterized her debut “Grey Matter” with overtones spilling into her sophomore album “In Limbo”; Divine Comedy provides a new perspective of the person Chersea has become. Utilizing isolation and the feelings of navigating difficult relationships and healing from unrequited love, Chersea’s discourse has changed. It’s become dialogue and less of a poetic introspection.

It’s important that this time you can hear the love in the sentiments in the form of her comedic “divine”; where she expresses humility and the honesty of recognizing or misidentifying deception contributing to her faults. She recognizes however, that she doesn’t need everyone to like her, that she makes people uncomfortable, and that no matter what mess she tries to fix it can result in a bigger disaster.

That is her Divine Comedy. Reaching a place of inner peace that ebbs between disdain and respect that is directly influenced by the interactions of others.

This perpetual cycle  precedes her own existential crisis illuminated by the requirement of needing things others can’t provide. By pointing out her own failures through a series of dialogue she exposes the truth behind paradise: that it could just all be a joke after all, and that this joke could be the most defining measure of being human.

Chersea is a one-of-a-kind expressionist inspired electro-pop artist who’s music stimulates the mind, body, and soul. She has been featured in Exclaim!, The Georgia Strait, Global News, and CBC Radio. Her 2018 album, 'In Limbo' charted at #115 on the NACC 200 chart, and #5 on the NACC Electronic Add Chart. Chersea has shared the stage with Reggie Watts, Brian Wilson, Rich Aucoin, Allen Stone, and MOBY and her live performances have been viewed by thousands all over the world.
